The emergency number 911 will be answered by a Lakeway dispatcher in the majority of situations. At times, cell phone 911 calls end up being routed to Travis County dispatch and very rarely, when Lakeway dispatchers are already tied up on other 911 calls, the call will be answered by Travis County.

If your dog or cat has traceable identification, we will attempt to contact you and let you know we have found the animal. You can always call us at 512-261-2800 to inquire about your animal and/or to report it as lost.
Registering an animal is no longer a requirement in the City of Lakeway. The updated ordinance requires having traceable identification for the animal, which can include microchips, tags and tattoos. You can find the City Ordinance here for full details.
