Texas Municipal Courts Education Center (TMCEC) recently announced the 2022 winners of the 2022 Municipal Traffic Safety Initiatives (MTSI) Awards, and once again, Lakeway Municipal Court received an award for low volume courts, which is a category of cities with a population of 30,000 or less. This is the 10th award Lakeway Municipal Court received since 2008, making Lakeway's court the most awarded of any low volume court in the State of Texas. Eight other low volume courts received the honor this year. This award recognizes those municipal courts that have demonstrated outstanding contributions to increasing traffic safety and preventing impaired driving. More details will be included following the formal awards ceremony, which is being planned by TMCEC in the near future.
