Live Streaming & On-Demand Viewing of Council Meetings

The City of Lakeway began live streaming City Council meetings and work sessions on Aug.13, 2012. Anyone with a computer, smartphone or tablet and internet access is now able to watch City Council meetings as they are happening and can review previously streamed meetings on-line.

Citizens interested in viewing the meetings live on-line can go to the City website and click on the link in the center blue navigation bar that reads: City Council Meeting Video Recordings. This will open up the video page where viewers can click on the "Live" tab at the top of the page to access the meeting in progress.

In addition to providing live web streaming, the city also offers on-demand streaming video of City Council meetings and work sessions. If viewers choose to, they can access an archive of the meeting within hours of the conclusion of the meeting by following the same instructions and choosing the "City Council” tab then selecting a session date. The on-demand meetings have jump-to points that are labeled by agenda item so that residents can access specific content they’re interested in watching. The public is also be able to quickly search stored meetings by keyword to view previous council discussions concerning specific issues.

The Lakeway City Council holds its regular meetings on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
